10292135_10154137877565615_138494002773635928_nThe School of Languages and Linguistics at the University of Melbourne hosts one of the leading Linguistics programs in Australia and the world and is home to the Research Unit for Indigenous Language, which specialises in the description and documentation of languages of Australia and its region, the Language Testing Research Centre (LTRC), the Research Unit for Multilingualism and Cross Cultural Communication (RUMACCC) and laboratories for Phonetics and Language Documentation research. Many of our researchers are leaders in the field, and it is a core focus of our work to foster public understanding of and access to research in the language sciences.
